About

I have been a Sports And Remedial Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer for eight years. I enjoy every aspect of massage and take the greatest interest in the wellbeing of my clients. I decided to study pregnancy massage having experienced it's benefits firsthand after my Wife Rachel experienced sciatica whilst she was pregnant with our first daughter Maisie.

After an unsatisfactory visit to our GP having been prescribed medication which seemed unclear on the safety of its use during pregnancy I drew on my existing knowledge of remedial massage. I knew that the piriformis compresses on the sciatic nerve and had successfully alleviated this problem in previous massage clients. I asked Rachel to lie on her side ensuring she was comfortable by cushioning her with pillows and towels and loosened up the hips and lower back with mild stretching and massage. Rachel experienced instant improvement and was now able to walk and also sleep more comfortably.

This inspired me to train and qualify in pre and post natal massage. I wanted to help other women in similar situations or those experiencing other discomfort or tensions during pregnancy.

My Wife is currently twelve weeks pregnant, so this time around Rachel is taking full advantage of my pregnancy massage techniques using various essential oils and enjoying not only greater physical comfort, but the added relaxation during pregnancy that massage can bring.
